What is BICARRB?

BICARRB is a sports nutrition product designed to help athletes perform at their best by increasing the body’s natural buffering capacity. Each serving consists of an Energy Mix, which is designed to ensure the sodium bicarbonate can be easily tolerated, and the Bicarb Mix.

BICARRB has been developed and tested by athletes to support performance in high-intensity endurance events such as running, HYROX, cycling, triathlon, and many other sports.

How It Works

During intense exercise, your muscles produce lactic acid. The build up of the acidic H+ ions contributes to fatigue. Sodium bicarbonate acts as a natural buffer, helping maintain optimal pH balance and delaying the onset of muscle burn. Bicarb has been shown to:

  • Increases time to exhaustion during high-intensity effort
  • Improves repeat sprint ability
  • Helps sustain power output during endurance events

How to Use

We recommend taking BICARRB 90–120 minutes before exercise. Mix the Energy Mix with just 60ml of water then add the Bicarrb Mix and consume immediately.

Product Guidance

Our products include Mango BICARRB, Original BICARRB, CafCarb and Mint BICARRB. All of these products contain a high dose of bicarbonate of soda, which is high in sodium. As such, we recommend these products are taken a maximum of three times per week.

We also recommend minimising your salt consumption on days you take BICARRB and ensuring that you remain well hydrated. It’s important to take the correct portion size of BICARRB based on your weight.

BICARRB should not be used by children or pregnant people.

BICARRB is prepared in a facility that handles allergens. The team are careful to ensure correct food safety standards are met, but we do advise our customers that this cannot be guaranteed.

None of the ingredients in BICARRB are on the WADA banned list. Mango BICARRB and Original BICARRB are Informed Sport Certified.
