Three National Indoor Titles from Three Countries for FLYCARB Athletes

The indoor season may be only two weeks old, but FLYCARB athletes have already made a huge statement, claiming three national indoor titles across three different countries: Scotland, Kazakhstan, and Wales.

Indoor racing is fast, tactical, and unforgiving. Athletes must get out hard to establish track position, then repeatedly accelerate out of tight bends. All of this leads to the unmistakable lactic burn, as our muscles flood with hydrogen ions. That’s why our three national champions choose BICARRB.

Beibarys Izgali | Kazakhstan Indoor Champion (2000m Steeplechase)

Beibarys Izgali (Bars) claimed his first national title at the XXXV Indoor Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winning the indoor 2000 m steeplechase. Indoor steeplechase is almost unique to Kazakhstan, and Bars certainly made a splash, despite their being no water jump! Racing aggressively from the gun, the FLYCARB-fuelled athlete produced an outstanding performance, finishing just one second outside the national record.

After the race, Bars reflected on the impact of BICARRB on his performance: “I am delighted to have taken my first title. After taking BICARRB, I felt able to maintain a higher level of performance and stay energised towards the end of the race.”

“Бұл өнімді қабылдағаннан кейін мен жоғары өнімділік деңгейін сақтай аламын және жүгірудің соңына күшімнің көп екенін сеземін.”*

Stef Tucker | Scottish Indoor 3000 m Champion

Stefanie Tucker kicked off her 2026 season in emphatic fashion, claiming Scottish Indoor Championship gold in the 3000m. The Cambuslang athlete executed a confident, committed race and was rewarded with a blistering new PB of 9:12, underlining her growing status on the domestic scene.

Fuelled by the lactic-buffering power of original BICARRB, Stef was able to press on when the race began to bite, exactly where indoor championships are often decided. Afterwards, she summed it up perfectly:

“I definitely think BICARRB helped my performance and gave me the confidence to dig deeper, take risks, and fully commit when the race got hard. It’s now a race-day essential for me!”

Emma Powell | Welsh Indoor 3000 m Champion

Emma Powell continued her excellent run of form by being crowned Welsh Indoor 3000m Champion at the Cardiff Indoor Meet. The result was a controlled, confident race, finishing with both a season-opening PB and the national title. Emma shared her thoughts after the race:

“I was very happy with a PB and race win as a season opener, it felt smooth and controlled, and the BICARRB really helped with the last couple of laps! I’m excited to use it in shorter track races as the track season starts.”

Indoor track racing really is a lactic minefield and BICARRB is designed to help buffer that lactic load, allowing athletes to sustain higher intensities deeper into the race. This edge can be the difference between personal bests and winning medals.

As we officially enter the indoor season, the question is, are you ready to buffer like the best?
