Lucy Jones | From the Marathon to the (Half) Mile

Lucy Jones has some serious range. In this article, we explain why she’s the Swiss Army Knife of endurance running, and take a little look at her latest tool: BICARRB.

On a sizzling day in April, Lucy clocked a sensational 2:30 at the London Marathon, a time that put her 41st on the UK’s All-Time list.

Many marathon runners would bank that result and go into summer hibernation, but, since then, Lucy has proved that her range knows no bounds.

In her first race using BICARRB, the Herne Hill Hero clocked 2:05.45 over 800m at the Loughborough BMC on Wednesday. That super speedy time was a sensational 7 second PB!

So, other than Lucy’s talent and graft, what’s going on?

BICARRB is helping endurance athletes do what many thought was impossible: shift back up the gears and face the lactic music in style.

By buffering hydrogen ions and helping maintain pH balance in the muscles, BICARRB delays the onset of acidosis, a key factor in muscular fatigue during high-intensity efforts. That means athletes can push harder, for longer, with a better chance of holding form and finding a finishing gear when it matters most.

For Lucy, that’s meant a rapid return to middle-distance racing, clocking a 7-second PB over 800m just months after a 2:30 marathon. For others, it might mean unlocking a kick they never knew they had.

So, if you’re chasing PB dreams, but are afraid of lactic nightmares: BICARRB might just be the supplement for you. Head over to our shop to buy your BICARRB now.
