FLYCARB Powers the UK Hill Climb Scene
Share
This autumn, FLYCARB is proud to be supporting two of the UK’s most iconic hill climbs: the Monsal Hill Climb in Derbyshire and the Belmont Hill Climb in Bristol. Both races are short, steep, and savage: the exact type of effort where sodium bicarbonate shines.
Why BICARRB is Made for Hill Climbs
Hill climbs are explosive. Riders push themselves to their absolute limit over just a few minutes, generating huge amounts of lactic acid in the process. That’s where BICARRB comes in. Our record-breaking bicarbonate supplement buffers lactic acid, allowing riders to:
- Hold more power for longer
- Dig deeper when the gradient bites
- Recover faster for the next effort
Already proven at National, European, and World level, BICARRB is the perfect performance partner for athletes tackling the sharpest climbs on the calendar.
Monsal Hill Climb x FLYCARB
First raced in 1930, the Monsal Hill Climb is legendary. Just 600 metres long, it averages 9.7% and pitches up to 20%. It's a brutal test of power, pacing, and pain tolerance. It attracts some of the UK’s best riders, but the carnival atmosphere makes it welcoming for everyone. This year, FLYCARB is thrilled to be fuelling the fight for King and Queen of Monsal Dale.
Belmont Hill Climb x FLYCARB
A true classic of the British scene, the Belmont Hill Climb in Bristol stretches to 1.2 km with a 7% average gradient and ramps over 10%. Short, sharp, and lactic-loaded, it’s the ultimate test of grit. Riders and spectators alike flock to Belmont each year for its electric atmosphere.
