FLYCARB on US Soil: Our Athletes Are Flying
Share
It’s been a big few weeks for FLYCARB athletes racing Stateside – and we are so proud to support their performances. From Raleigh, to Stanford, the UK’s NCAA athletes have been showing up and putting in blistering times against top-tier college competition.
Jasmine Wood – 33:48 at the Stanford Invitational
The “Durham Speed Demon” struck again – this time on the West Coast. Jasmine Wood, running for New Mexico University, clocked a sensational 33:48 over 10,000m, comfortably qualifying for the European U23 Championships.
Even more impressive? She did it off just 6 weeks of focused training after a disrupted build-up. She had this to share with us:
“I knew hitting the qualification standard was going to be a big ask. I raced really well and got some nice conditions, but I have to say, BiCarrb really pulled through for me… In the final few laps, when the lactate really starts to burn, I could push on strong.”
Bradley Giblin – 13:37 at the Raleigh Relays
Meanwhile, across the country, Bradley Giblin—or as we like to call him, the Titan from Trafford—was tearing up the track in Raleigh. Representing Iona College, he obliterated his 5K PB with a 13:37, a full 10 seconds off his previous best, and claiming a FLYCARB 5K record!
“I know I’ve got more to give,” said Bradley. “In the US, you’ve got to commit early in the big races… having a lactate buffer makes a big difference. It helps you take that early strain and stay strong when it matters.”
Fueling Dreams, All over the world
We’ve been inspired by Jasmine and Bradley thriving in the ultra-competitive US collegiate scene and we can't wait to support more athletes in the US.
To everyone who’s messaged us asking: yes – we’re nearly there. We're working on the final few pieces to be able to ship our FLYCARB products straight to the US.
