Celebrating the 2025 FLYCARB FAST Grant Winners

Thank You to All Applicants

A huge thank you to everyone who applied for the FLYCARB FAST Grant.

We received hundreds of high-quality applications from athletes across seven countries, and we were blown away by the talent, ambition, and dedication on display.

This year, we awarded 6 cash grants and supported 20 athletes with free FLYCARB products. Runners-up also received generous discount codes to help fuel their autumn and winter seasons.

We’ve taken the time to reply to each applicant individually, but if we missed you, please let us know.

At FLYCARB, we’re proud to support sub-elite athletes who are working hard to break through. With our first birthday just around the corner, it’s a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come.

FLYCARB FAST Award: Hannah Anderson

Hannah will use the grant to support her race travel as she continues her breakthrough year. The flying Finn has set PBs across every distance, claimed her first senior national medals, and proudly represented Finland at both the European Cross Country and European Indoor Championships.

But Hannah isn’t just fast on the track — she’s also a role model off it. Her positivity, determination, and commitment inspire those around her, and her talent is only matched by her tenacity.

Hannah has been using FLYCARB products since day one, and as we approach day 365, we can’t wait to see what she achieves this winter season.

Me uskomme sinuun, Hannah.

FLYCARB FAST Award: Noemie Thomson

Noemie is a national-level cyclist who will use the grant to support her race travel and physio costs during her sensational debut season.

Incredibly, this is Noemie’s very first year on the road, and what a season it has been. After only starting in April, she has already made her mark on the national scene. Riding for DAS-Hutchinson, she won the inaugural Witheridge Grand Prix, placed 2nd at the Tour of the Reservoir, and finished 17th at the National Road Race Championships, ahead of World Tour riders.

Her rapid rise has earned her a place on the FLYCARB-fuelled UCI Continental team DAS-Hutchinson, where she is working hard to take the next step towards WorldTour level.

Noemie’s journey has been fuelled by FLYCARB, and she especially loves our BICARRB Boost:
“I’m a big fan of the mint and mango BICARRB! I really value how easy your mixes are to use and how gentle they are on my stomach, even under maximal race efforts.”

We can’t wait to see what Noemie achieves as her cycling career continues to accelerate.

FLYCARB FAST Award: Ciarán O’Toole

Ciarán is a visually impaired Irish paracyclist who rides with his co-pilot, Alan Lyne. Together, they are part of the Irish paracycling development team, working towards elite selection and ultimately the Paralympic Games.

It has already been a standout year: they finished 4th in a UCI Paracycling Stage Race in Poland, and claimed 3rd at the Irish Paracycling National Championships.

Ciarán will use the grant to purchase a new pair of cycling shoes, a small but vital investment in pushing his performance to the next level.

Ciarán and Alan rely on FLYCARB to gain an edge, particularly during time trials where efforts range from 20–40 minutes and push them above lactate threshold. With most Irish paracycling tandem events being time trials, the lactate-buffering power of BICARRB is a key part of their selection hopes, and their Paralympic dream.

We’re proud to support Ciarán and Alan as they chase their ambitions on the international stage.

Keep an eye out for more FAST Grant stories soon, as we continue to celebrate the athletes fuelling their performance with FLYCARB.
