BICARRB Dominates the English National Cross Country Championships!

The 2025 English National Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hill delivered an unforgettable day of racing, and Team BICARRB was right at the heart of the action. With four athletes finishing in the top 10 of the men's race, including an outright national champion, it was a day to remember for BICARRB-fueled runners.
Richard Slade – English National XC Champion
The standout performance of the day came from Richard Slade, who stormed to victory, claiming the prestigious English National Cross Country title! In a thrilling battle against James Kingston of Tonbridge, Slade showed incredible strength, timing his move to perfection on the brutal hills of Parliament Hill.
Slade’s dominance in the mud was no surprise, he’s been on fire all season. He represented Team England with distinction in Spain and Belgium and just last week, he proved his versatility on the roads, clocking 13:49 in Armagh. With a bicarbonate soda supplement helping him recover well on the hills and buffer lactic acid, he had the edge when it mattered most.
BICARRB's Strength in Depth
Backing up Slade’s title-winning performance were three more BICARRB'ers in the top 10 including:
Jack Gray (6th) – Not only a top-class runner, but also BICARRB's co-founder, Jack once again proved why he’s one of the best in the country, surging through the field to take a fantastic sixth place.
Jeremy Dempsey (7th) – England's fastest doctor delivered a masterclass in cross country racing, leading Shaftesbury Barnet to a historic silver medal. Known for his grit and determination, Dempsey powered through the mud and hills like a true mud monster, finishing strong thanks to BICARRB's endurance-boosting support.
A Winning Formula
The BICARRB boost was in full effect at the National Cross Country Championships, helping give athletes the endurance to handle the relentless hills, recover efficiently, and push through lactic acid buildup.
A huge congratulations to Richard Slade, our English National XC Champion, and to all the BICARRB athletes who left it all out on the course. The road to even bigger performances starts here!
