Amélie Lane | Marathon du Mont-Blanc 2025 | Junior Race Winner

Friend of FLYCARB and scientific researcher extraordinaire Amélie Lane recently won the Junior Race at the Marathon du Mont-Blanc!

We were so busy working with Amelie on her latest post that we almost forgot to celebrate this incredible achievement. So, here’s a quick recap of how she got on.

Amelie took on the Junior Race, a 13km loop around Chamonix designed to test the brightest young talents in mountain running. But the distance is only part of the story. With over 1300m of climbing and some seriously demanding technical sections, the race calls for not only hill-climbing power and endurance, but also serious mental grit.

Amélie stormed to victory, finishing more than 10 minutes ahead of the competition. She was welcomed at the finish line by big cheering crowds at the Place du Triangle de l'Amitié in Chamonix.

This win is particularly special, coming after a short break from racing to recharge and recover. To return with such a dominant performance is a testament to her talent and determination.

How BiCarrb Helped Power the Climb

Amelie’s preparation included the use of FLYCARB's BiCarrb 2 hours before the start of the race. Our bicarb supplement is designed to buffer lactic acid and delay fatigue during high-intensity efforts. For a race with relentless vertical gain and altitude stress, BiCarrb gave her that extra physiological edge, helping her sustain pace on the climbs and produce the powerful muscle contractions required to push off and ‘brake’ on the descents.
